Prone to current, dive site Castle Rock offers excellent visibility. Usually the current flows to the east and is much stronger at the surface than in the deeper water . If you enter in the blue water approximately 100 metres up currents from the shallowest point and down to 30, 40 meters, you may receive a friendly welcome by some Batfish, and schooling Barracudas, Jacks, and Mackerels may do a swim-by as well. In approximately 20 meters deep, there are excellent soft coral growth and numerous fans that are host to Pigmy Seahorses. The top of the rock is in approximately 3 to 4 meters deep and offers shelter from the current, hence the name, castle rock. This shallow area is a good place to look around during your safety stop. Most people ask for encore dives!
