The Bay of Blongas, also named the Bay of Tranquility and Belongas, is a sheltered bay with beautifull flat and calm waters in the south of Lombok. There are excellent beaches and very pretty fishing villages. Getting there is not as easy as it looks. Your best way is to start at Lembar, a larger city to the north where the ferry from Bali also lands, and start a one hour drive to Blongas.

Most diving is done at the entrances of the bay and at some rock formations offshore such as Gili Wayang. There divers can experience deep and steep boulders, stronger currents and more interesting marine life. Less experienced divers can be better off diving near Kuta Bay, to the east of Blongas.
