West of Rote is the long flat island of Do'o, also known as "Pancake Island". It takes about 30-45 minutes by boat from the resort. On the northern coast, the water drops down to 14m, so is a perfect spot for beginners. Features include patches of coral on a sandy plain. Fish life includes parrot fish, clown fish, snapper, nudi branches, moray and occasionally ribbon eels.
