Malang is a small reef just north of Gili Meno and Gili Air, great for spotting rays and groupers.

Takat Malang or Malang Reef, for advanced and more skilled, is a wonderful combination of mounds and bommies, draped in beautiful coral. It is home to some of the largest Groupers around the Gilis, and is often frequented by White Tip Reef Sharks and large schools of Fusiliers and Banner Fish. Malang is also known for throwing up the odd surprise like Eagle Rays, Bull Rays and Jenkins Rays often providing a spectacular dive.
