Crystal Bay is blessed with excellent visibilities and a small Bat Cave which can be surfaced from beneath the water.

Crystal Bay has the most fantastic visibility under water. This site consists of a fantastic little bay in shallow water that offers excellent opportunities for photos. Crystal bay has many kinds of coral reef, mainly hard coral reef with a white sand base, but also a few anemones and soft corals. There can be quite a heavy surge in the bay. Some of the marine life you might see are Angelfish, Sweetlips, many Moorish Idols and lobster that are provided with homes by the many strands of hard coral.

Following around the north side of the bay, we come to a Bat Cave which can be entered from underwater. You can surface inside the cave, with an open sky, with sleeping bats overhead and big waves crashing in through the top. Sometimes two small reef shark are in the cave, but they often leave when you arrive. Leopard sharks have also been recorded inside the cave, but you have to be lucky to spot one.
