Samama is a small island close to Kakaban and Sangalaki, but not as well known for diving as the other two. The island is surrounded with shallow reefs providing excellent opportunities for photographers, beginning divers and professionals to have a great day. It is one of the places where macro muck diving is popular and there even are some places where mangroves try to conquer a part of this underwater paradise. Myriad nudibranches, ribbon eels, sponges, flatworms, pipefish and pygmy seahorses are some of the often photographed objects.
